Carlos Rodrigo, from Universitat Jaume I (UJI), has been awarded first prize for Best Master’s Thesis in Industrial Engineering by the Professional Association of Industrial Engineers of the Valencian Community, Spain. The award ceremony took place on December 12th in Castellón.
The thesis, titled “Análisis del comportamiento dinámico de puentes de ferrocarril de líneas europeas para la identificación de parámetros críticos y la mejora de la interoperabilidad ferroviaria del transporte de viajeros y mercancías”, examines how the dynamic behavior of railway bridges influences interoperability and safety. This work was developed in connection with the InBridge4EU project, closely aligned with its objectives, contributing to an improved understanding of critical parameters for high-speed and mixed-traffic lines.
By combining advanced modeling and analysis techniques, Carlos Rodrigo’s work supports the development of harmonized standards for European railway infrastructure, an effort central to InBridge4EU’s mission.
