Members of the Inbridge4EU UPORTO team attended the TSI Workshops Open Days that took place yesterday and today in Lisbon, Portugal. The event focused on the certification of rolling stock and was organized by “Centro de Competências Ferroviário” (Railway Competence Center, an industry-academia association), “Plataforma Ferroviária Portuguesa” (Portuguese Railway Platform, trade association), and ANSF (the Portuguese railway safety authority), within the scope of the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA).
ERA experts provided clarifications on the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs) and the 4th Railway package. The meeting was the first of a series of regional events dedicated to the matter. The InBridge4EU researchers are working to propose recommendations for the TSIs, which is an objective of Work Package 6. Presence in such events aids in coordinating between the project and ERA.
