Work Streams and relation with Work Packages

The ERA Technical Note defines 11 Work Streams (WS) that needed to be addressed for closing TSI open points on bridge dynamics. These WS will be thoroughly studied in InBridge4EU and will be addressed in 5 Technical-Scientific Work Packages (WP1 to WP6) and in one WP dedicated to normative recommendations (WP6). The relation between WS and WP defined in InBridge4EU is presented bellow.

How InBridge4EU connects with the ERA Technical Note

Work Package Work Streams addressed
WP1
Definition of Dynamic Train Categories (DTCs) for ensuring compatibility of the interface between trains and bridges
Leader: UPM
WS1 – Further development of spectral methods (DER, LIR)

WS2 – Definition of dynamic loading interface between vehicles and bridges)

WS4 – Sensitivity studies on passenger and freight train parameters

WS5 – Selection of relevant vehicles in train families

WS11 – Revision of limits of validity of static vehicle / bridge compatibility checks (together with WP6)

WP2
Identification of critical bridge parameters for the assessment of the economic impact of the new DTCs
Leader: UJI
WS3 – Economic evaluation of proposed Dynamic Train Categories (DTCs)
